Drs. Kim and Gerrit Berg

About Five Cities Veterinary Hospital

Five Cities Veterinary Hospital was opened in May of 2007 by Drs. Gerrit and Kimberly Berg. Together, they had a vision for a veterinary hospital that provided compassionate, high-quality care in a positive and friendly environment where pets are treated like family members. Having both grown up as avid animal lovers, they understood the value and importance of the bond between pets and owners. Drs. Berg sought to create a veterinary hospital where this bond would be honored and where pets and their owners alike could feel their unique needs were being met.

Desi Alarcon, Veterinary Technician

I love the clinic because it gives me the experience I need to become a Vet. I learn a lot from both Dr. Kim and Dr. Gerrit. I love that our practice is fun and light-hearted as well. My hobbies include going to the beach with my cat and dog, and making jewelry.

Josh Carreira, Customer Care Specialist

I have a miniature Schnauzer named Athena who’s a burly gurly and an adopted cat named Diego with a silly little walk because his leg was reconstructed after being hit by a car. I also have some earthworms!  Hobbies include hiking, yoga and collecting/growing/caring for weird plants. My favorite thing about FCVH is my amazing coworkers and, of course, all the animals!

Shay

Shay Lewis, Customer Care Specialist

My favorite part of working at FCVH is getting to help animals. I have a kitty I adopted named  Saffy and she’s a sassy girl!  My hobbies are music, photography and cooking.

Sonia Palacios, Veterinary Technician

I own two mini Rex rabbits, CheChe and Cash, and an English Bulldog named Ace. I enjoy working with everyone (coworkers, pet patients and clients) in areas in the clinic where help is needed. I love listening to music and cheesecake!
